| About Asbestos | |||
| Asbestos cement is a building material that was commonly used to build garages and sheds between the 1950’s and 1980’s. It is usually found in the form of a flat or corrugated sheet. This material is a low risk product containing approximately 5-10% white Chrysotile asbestos which is held in place in the cement sheet. | |||
| Asbestos fibres are released when cement sheeting is broken or drilled, sawn, scrubbed or sanded. The fibres then become airborne where they can easily be inhaled and cause lung damage. | |||
| Asbestos fibres are known to cause a cancer that is terminal in all cases. | |||
| Do not be alarmed by the presence of asbestos, we will visit and assess the site, impose the necessary safety precautions, then depose of the material efficiently and professionally. | |||
